Searching the Lutcher Court Docket
Lutcher's public municipal route is an nCourt page called "Pay Tickets Online." It handles ticket payments and contact, not full docket browsing. One caution: a paper written in Lutcher is not always a town matter. A State Police or other state citation belongs in the 23rd Judicial District Court instead. Read the citation first. Its court name, appearance instruction, issue information, and citation number tell you which search channel applies. Match the route to the court named on the paper.
- Read the citation or notice to identify whether it names a Lutcher ordinance matter, a 23rd JDC matter, or another court.
- Keep the citation number, issue date, court name, and any stated appearance date together before using the Lutcher portal.
- Use the Lutcher nCourt route only for the payment or contact service it displays; do not treat it as a complete public case register.
- If the portal does not resolve the question, call the Town of Lutcher at 225-869-5823 and ask for the municipal court or citation clerk.
- For a district-court or state-citation question, confirm the proper 23rd JDC and St. James Parish Clerk route before requesting a docket or date.
For an older record or a copy, ask the municipal clerk what public docket or certified document can be requested. The town posts no copy-fee schedule. No general public docket-search form is offered either.
Lutcher Court Docket Venue Check
Venue decides the search. A Lutcher municipal ordinance matter goes through the Lutcher mayor's-court channel. A Title 32 traffic or Title 56 wildlife summons issued in St. James, though, can be randomly allotted among 23rd JDC Divisions A through E under the local rule. The St. James Parish Clerk of Court keeps the district-court records. Those cover civil, criminal, family, and related filings and docket records. The mayor's-court route stays separate. re:SearchLA is a statewide Tyler-hosted option for participating courts. The Clerk's official site does not list St. James among them. CottFile, a Clerk-linked e-filing tool, tracks submission status. It is not a public Lutcher court docket search. A justice-of-the-peace docket belongs with the JP district that heard the limited-court matter.
| If the paper identifies | Start with | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Lutcher ordinance or municipal matter | Lutcher nCourt and the town’s municipal contact. | That a payment route supplies a full docket or document file. |
| State Title 32 or Title 56 summons | The citation, then the applicable 23rd JDC or Clerk route. | That it is a Lutcher mayor’s-court ticket. |
| Limited civil matter | The justice-of-the-peace district that heard it. | That it appears in the 23rd JDC docket. |
Lutcher Municipal Court Basics
The town's municipal court layer is the Town of Lutcher mayor's court. Louisiana's official statute table lists R.S. 33:441.28 as the town's court-magistrate statute. The mayor's court handles town matters only. It is not a 23rd JDC division, and it does not replace the St. James Parish Clerk's district-court records. The town publishes no magistrate name, session calendar, standalone docket search, annual case count, or copy-fee sheet. Those gaps matter. Put any Lutcher court docket question to the town or the office that actually holds the case, rather than relying on a generic mayor's-court schedule or record policy.
Lutcher Court Docket Town Context
Lutcher was the largest incorporated place in St. James Parish in the 2020 Census. It counted 3,133 residents. The parish has only two incorporated places. So the town's payment and contact footprint is a distinctly local route. The population figure gives context for the Lutcher court docket and nothing more. It reveals no mayor's-court caseload, and it does not mean every Lutcher citation appears online.
The Town of Lutcher's official site is the municipal source for town context and contact routing.
The town page helps place the Lutcher municipal contact inside its local-government setting. The court record itself still depends on the case's custodian and access rules.
Court Dates and Settings in Lutcher
The citation and any later court notice come first for a Lutcher court date. The town publishes no regular mayor's-court session calendar, no hearing location, no judge page, and no public municipal docket display. So call the town court contact. Give the citation number and issue date. Ask whether the court date remains active. Also ask whether payment, a plea, or an appearance is required under that specific citation.
| Date | Use the citation, notice, or current confirmation. No general Lutcher municipal calendar was located. |
|---|---|
| Time | Confirm with the town or court. The public source set does not publish a standing court time. |
| Location | Confirm from the citation or court contact; a current public hearing location was not located. |
| Judge or magistrate | No current public Lutcher magistrate or judge page was located. |
| Setting purpose | Read the citation or case paper and ask the court whether the matter is payment, plea, appearance, or another event. |
A payment screen or call-log label is not a court order. When a date truly matters, keep the court paper. Then ask the court whether a reset, transfer, or other change affects the appearance instruction.
Lutcher Court Docket Search Limits
The town offers no public general case-search register. The nCourt payment page includes a Citation Number field. But the town does not display case history, document images, or a public result list. A payment portal can locate and process a ticket. Yet it never shows the chronological court docket. Treat the page's Reason and Resolution labels as operational clues, not verified court-status codes. One label refers to an issue date of less than 7 to 10 days. That is not a legal deadline. A missing, very recent, or "not in system" citation should go straight to the Lutcher town or court contact. Have the citation number in hand. Such a label is not proof of dismissal or the absence of a court date.
Traffic Tickets in Lutcher
Check the court name printed on your Lutcher citation before anything else. A town ordinance ticket belongs with the Lutcher court written on the paper. nCourt serves as the payment and contact route for it. A State traffic or wildlife summons works differently. The district-court allotment rule may control where it lands. Follow the date and instructions on the citation itself. Lutcher posts no single deadline, deferred-disposition schedule, defensive-driving rule, or fine table that covers every ticket. So the citation is the guide that matters.
| Payment route | Appearance or contest route |
|---|---|
| Identify the named court, confirm the citation number and amount, and keep a receipt if payment is accepted. | Read the citation’s appearance instructions and contact the issuing court before the stated date when the paper is unclear. |
| Ask the town whether payment resolves the matter or whether another court instruction remains. | Ask the court how to make any permitted plea or court-specific request; do not assume a single parishwide deadline. |
| Use the portal’s payment service or phone only for the service the town has published. | Obtain written confirmation of a reset or payment when the court provides it. |
The parish-level St. James traffic-ticket record page walks through that district-court routing in more detail. It still does not replace the court named on a Lutcher citation.
Lutcher Court Docket nCourt Controls
nCourt titles its Lutcher page "Pay Tickets Online for Lutcher, Louisiana." The page lists Lutcher town contact details and a pay-by-phone line at 877-793-7141. Payment support runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern. Those are support-channel hours, not a published Lutcher municipal court session schedule.
| Visible control | Type | What the capture supports |
|---|---|---|
| Citation Number | Text field | Visible in the call-log and search-related interface; required status was not exposed. |
| Reason | Dropdown | Included Need to speak with clerk, Pay Citation, Need help looking up citation, Ticket not in system, and No Record Found variants. |
| Resolution | Dropdown | Included Paid Fine, Transfer to traffic, Call or Contact the Court, Assist with verification, and other operational options. |
| Public end-user lookup | Not exposed | The capture did not show clean citation-search fields or a complete public result display. |
Lutcher’s nCourt payment page posts the town’s official payment and contact route.
That official page documents a payment and contact interface for the town. It is not a complete Lutcher court docket, and it certifies nothing about a case record.
Where Lutcher Cases Go
A Lutcher mayor’s-court ticket runs on a separate track. The St. James Parish Clerk’s 23rd JDC docket records do not cover it. A State traffic or wildlife summons can land in the 23rd JDC under the random-allotment rule. From there, an appeal or other jurisdictional move may create a parish or appellate record under Louisiana procedure. The Lutcher portal does not explain that process, though. So treat it as no proof of an automatic transfer. Figure out the venue first, then search the right court records.
Docket flow: Lutcher Mayor’s Court › applicable appeal or transfer procedure › 23rd Judicial District Court or appellate docket where authorized
Once a Lutcher case moves past the mayor’s court, pin down the new venue before you search. The St. James Parish Clerk of Court is the practical contact for a 23rd JDC filing or docket question. Appeals go a level higher. The Louisiana Court of Appeal, Fifth Circuit serves as the intermediate state appellate court for the Lutcher region.
Lutcher Court Docket State Citation Route
The court name on the paper matters. It separates a Lutcher municipal ticket from a State citation. Appendix 14.0B sends State Title 32 traffic and Title 56 wildlife summonses in St. James to random allotment among 23rd JDC Divisions A through E. They are sorted by predetermined appearance dates. That rule only reaches the state-citation path. It does not convert every Lutcher ordinance ticket into a district-court case. Read the citation, then match it to the right docket.
| Lutcher municipal route | State citation route |
|---|---|
| Town mayor’s-court channel and nCourt payment/contact path. | 23rd JDC allotment can apply to qualifying Title 32 or Title 56 officer-issued summonses. |
| Use the town contact for the municipal court date, docket, disposition, or record request. | Use the citation and the St. James Clerk or assigned division to confirm the district-court record and setting. |
| Does not prove a full public municipal register is online. | Does not make a local ordinance matter automatically a 23rd JDC case. |
Louisiana State Police Troop C sends citation questions to the local parish traffic court. It also lists the St. James Sheriff’s Department at 225-562-2374 for routing help. Neither office decides municipal court records or fine collection.
Lutcher Court Record Access Rules
A Lutcher municipal court record request should name the exact document, whether a Lutcher docket, a judgment entry, or another public paper. It should also ask which town or court office holds it. An nCourt payment result is not a public docket, a certified copy, or a full case file. Use the St. James Parish Clerk’s district-court route only when the case belongs with the 23rd JDC, not the Lutcher mayor’s court. Public access still has limits. A record may be open for inspection. But a copy, image, or certification takes a separate request. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, adoption, protected-identifying, and confidential family material can be restricted. Ask whether a public portion can be split out. Do not read an empty portal result as proof no record exists.
Louisiana court-record rules. C.C.P. art. 251 identifies the clerk as legal custodian of court records and permits examination and copying except as law provides.
R.S. 44:31 recognizes the right to inspect, copy, or reproduce public records unless a specific exception applies.
R.S. 44:32 addresses custody, segregation of public material, and written determinations when public status is disputed.
R.S. 44:35 provides a judicial remedy framework for an improper public-record denial or delay.
Lutcher Court Record Request Route
Start a Lutcher municipal request with the town contact. Say exactly what you want, whether a public docket, a certified judgment, or another named document. Give the citation number and issue date when you have them. The town’s public information lists no copy fee, request form, judge name, or turnaround time for court records. So ask the office to confirm the route and cost before you send any payment.

Box 63, Convent, LA 70723. Confirm record-request and payment instructions before you send anything. re:SearchLA offers a statewide test, but St. James may not appear in it. If a Lutcher ticket is missing from that system, keep the citation. Then call the town court rather than retrying variations on a payment page.
